Affiliate Marketing Programs – Hydramedia Vs Modernclick Affiliate Networks

Our story begins like many of this nature, with a frustrated internet marketer trying to make a living from affiliate programs. Having several websites with decent content, our salesperson set out to find some deals to start making money.

As you can imagine, the first stop was Commission Junction. There were some deals to be found there, but the really juicy ones, the ones that could earn dollars upon dollars, were kept out of reach. The seller’s site was too new, or didn’t have enough traffic according to Alexa, or didn’t have page rank, was the message received over and over again. Sounds familiar? There was no time for this, what could be done?

The frustration was mounting. Search after search, app after app, all turning up nothing good, nothing to really sink the business into. Of course, our novice internet marketer was at the stage of being subscribed to every available “guru” email list. That’s where salvation came from, or so our marketing specialist thought.

The email came from Keith Baxter through the AdSense is Dead campaign. If he doesn’t know, Keith is the owner of a relatively new cost-per-action affiliate network program. The promise was amazing. Here was an offer from a guy who was leading the “Click Flipping” revolution! It couldn’t happen.

So our obedient little salesman headed off to sign up for this amazing new opportunity. The forms were basic and easy to follow. The process was quick and our marketer was approved. So the first step was complete, but now the tedious and disappointing task of applying for the different affiliate offers available began. And then it happened. Our marketing specialist discovered the most amazing thing; offers were automatically available! The site had been accepted once during the registration process and now the entire offering landscape was available at will.

Our seller was ecstatic. At Commission Junction, our persistent seller had sent 5 follow-up emails to a particular vendor with a perfect mix of offers. Unlucky. Now, with just a few clicks of the mouse, the provider’s offers were displayed on our happy merchant’s site. Things were fine.

And then it happened. Always looking for a bigger and better deal, our seller stumbled upon Hydramedia. I say stumbled because this network was never mentioned in a “guru” email, nor in the countless e-books that were purchased, nor on the forums. Only through a random set of click events did our lucky vendor find what would turn out to be gold.

Like Modernclick, the process turned out to be simple and quick. A few days passed and our seller was worried about being rejected yet again. Not the case this time. Our marketer eagerly followed the link in the opt-in email, still a little worried about facing another set of approval processes. Eagerly the offers were scanned. Fortunately, the process went like Modernclick and the entire cornucopia of quality affiliate opportunities was available without trial. Then suddenly the love affair with Modernclick is over.

It only took a single click to abruptly break the blind infatuation with the Baxter program. There, in front of the wide and incredulous eyes of our marketing specialist, a Modernclick product was being used. Although it was different. With Hydramedia there were 4 different versions of the offer. In addition to the two featured on Modernclick, there were two that offered freebies to potential buyers. That could only help sales. But that is not the worst.

To our marketer’s dismay, Hydramedia’s offerings paid more, much more. The offer with the gifts paid 40% more than the Modernclick offer without the gifts. And after investigating, our disillusioned internet marketer discovered that this was not an isolated case. Every time there was an offer on both affiliate networks, Hydramedia had a higher offer.

Fortunately, the devastation of a broken love relationship was short-lived. Our marketer found a new crush on Hydramedia and has been taking it to the bank ever since.

So after making a short story, you can see why Hydramedia is the best network compared to Modernclick. Should you stay away from Modernclick? I do not think. They still have offers available that you can only find on larger and more exclusive affiliate programs that are not on Hydramedia. My only advice is that if you find a deal on Modernclick, make sure you check out all of their other networks first, because if you can find it elsewhere, you’ll probably get a higher commission.
