To Grow Taller, Improve Your Posture With These Exercises

In order to grow taller, you will need to address your overall posture. Many people don’t realize the importance of good posture, especially at height. If you want to be taller and want to find ways to gain height, then you should try some of these simple exercises that can help your body grow properly.

It’s really up to you – for this to work, you’ll need to consciously try to maintain proper posture while performing these exercises. During the course of your day, try to maintain your proper posture. Doing this will not necessarily be enough to make you grow. But if you want to reach your potential height, you should do these exercises to stretch your spine.

The first exercise to work on your posture and grow taller is called the Bow to Thyself. This is an old exercise that is really simple to do and gets results as it stretches the muscles and improves posture. To get started, simply keep your back perfectly straight while sitting in a chair. Then, very gently, bring your chin to your chest, and then take three deep breaths. Lift your chin up to the starting position.

After that exercise, try the ear-to-shoulder movement. This is another stretch to improve posture that will also target your upper back muscles. Starting in the seated position, take a deep breath. Then, as you exhale, turn your head so that your right ear reaches your right shoulder, then inhale deeply again. Exhale so that you move the chin towards the chest.

As you take your next deep breath, your third, exhale as you continue to move your head to the other side, left ear and left shoulder this time. Lastly, take another deep breath. This time again, exhale as you bring your chin back to your chest area. All this must be done slowly.

The last exercise to improve posture that helps you grow taller is known as the turkey stretch. This will make you focus on the back of your neck, very possibly helping you add inches to your height.

To do this, just start sitting on the same chair. Look straight ahead, and then bring your hand to your chin. As you inhale deeply, place your hand on your chin and exhale slowly. As you do that, just gently push your chin into your neck and you will start to feel a stretch in the back of your neck. When you are done with the exhalation, repeat about 3-4 times.
