Digital Age: A Book Review

Robert Schleicher has written his fourth book on car racing. The title of the book itself is “Slot Car Racing in the Digital Age”. The title is misleading to some readers. This is because the book does not focus only on digital racing, but also looks at modern cars and domestic race tracks. There are other books that Robert Schleicher wrote about this crazy fad: ‘Racing and Collecting Slot Cars’ (2001), ‘Slots Car Bible’ (2003) and ‘Slot Car Racing: Tips, Tricks, & Track Plans’ (2005). These Robert Schleicher books are available on the market even as of this moment.

The last book he wrote is the first on the list among Schleicher readers and fans. The previous books were interesting to readers, however some found it a bit too “technical” for those who are still starting out with this fun hobby. Hobbyists in general prefer his latest book because it is more complete for both beginners and those who already do this type of racing as a hobby. The photographs in the book are of good quality that can be noticed compared to the previous book. Some even say that the look of the book has now become more professional.

Both beginners and advanced slot racers found the most interesting chapters in the book to be the pages with pictures and information about the local race tracks. If you are one of those who want to create your own permanent track at home, then you should be inspired by this book.
