The addition of WR Randy Moss by the New England Patriots was arguably the biggest offseason transaction in the league. With the Patriots being undermined by a struggling passing game in 2006, the New England front office made it a point to go out on the free agent market and address this need. The signings of Wes Welker, Donte’ Stallworth and Kelly Washington from WR surely brought a smile to QB Tom Brady. The Randy Moss trade from Oakland likely had Brady jumping up and down in layers (Tom Cruise-style). All in all, the New England Patriots now have an incredible number of weapons at their disposal for the passing game and have made the team the favorite to be Super Bowl champions. For his QB, 2007 could turn out to be a great year for Tom Brady.

As far as fantasy goes, Brady has always been a solid Tier 2 pass that owners can rely on week after week to put up solid numbers overall. The fact that he’s made every start since he replaced Drew Bledsoe four seasons ago gives Brady even more value due to the fact that you never have to worry about injuries at a very injury-prone position. Tell the owners of Donovan McNabb how valuable he is. Now, with all the additions to the passing game, look to Brady to have a monster season in the TD and yards department. Usually hovering around the 24-28 TD mark, expect Tom to have more than a good chance of having his first 30 TD season. A total pass of 4,000 yards is a fact.

So when you select a quarterback in your 2007 draft, here’s the suggestion that you let other owners take Peyton Manning, Carson Palmer and Drew Brees while you wait until the third round to draft Brady. He may not be the flashiest quarterback in the league, but Brady will put up numbers to rival anyone who throws a football in the 2007 season.
