Health Is Wealth – How To Lose Excess Body Fat

I am sure that most of you must have heard the saying ‘Health is wealth’, which certainly implies that a healthy body can be enough to achieve higher goals like wealth for example, rather than one that is not. It is healthy. Though I’m sure the chubby businessman who sits next to you on the train or subway every morning wouldn’t agree.

If you’re thinking of losing weight, in my opinion, there’s nothing better than good old-fashioned exercise and a healthy diet. Doctors and dietitians will always recommend a regular exercise regimen for a healthy and fruitful life, but why do most of us barely bother to follow this advice? After all, it is common sense that lack of exercise and poor diet are the cause of excessive body fat accumulation. Which in turn makes most of us very unhappy.

Excuse me, excuse me!

Due to today’s fast-paced lifestyle, people are constantly making excuses to skip regular exercise and a healthy diet, and that’s their choice. But surely, if you love yourself, you would take some time off for the sake of your well-being. Exercise is essential for weight loss as it keeps your body’s metabolism at the optimal level for burning calories, plus the more muscle you build through your training program, the more calories those muscles burn.

Short versus long.

20-30 minutes 3 times a week is enough, you don’t have to indulge. If you are just starting out, go easy at first, build your motivation. Then, as your fitness increases, increase the intensity. Anaerobic exercise can be beneficial for most and can fit into any hectic lifestyle.

Anaerobic: means ‘without air’ or ‘oxygen’. And it’s a high-intensity workout for a short period of time. This form of exercise cannot last long, because oxygen is not used for energy. What happens is that a byproduct called lactic acid is formed that contributes to fatigue. This must be burned by the body during the recovery process.

Some believe that aerobic exercise is the best way forward. Aerobic exercise increases your heart rate, so you burn fat, increases your circulatory system, and also improves your lung capacity and joint flexibility.

As with anything, there will always be a debate about which type of exercise is the most beneficial, short or long? And that is a question that cannot really be answered, as it depends on the personal preference of the individual. But does it really matter? Probably the most important point here is to get people to exercise and show them the personal benefits of exercise and a healthy diet.

But one fact remains true, unwanted body fat can make you prone to health risk factors like diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure. So make a wise decision and exercise to lose weight, because your health really matters.
