Irish Charm: Things to Do and See in Ireland

Dublin

Bru na Bainne – The Passage of the Tombs
This World Heritage site is one of the most important prehistoric sites in Europe, and is a must see during your visit. The site is older than the Egyptian pyramids and contains around 40 grave passages. Situated on the River Boyne, the area is also perfect for exploring on foot.

The Brazen Head pub, Dublin
This pub is said to be the oldest in all of Dublin and has traditional Irish charm. Supposedly haunted and dating back to 1198, The Brazen Head is a great place to grab a conventional Irish lunch and a pint of Guinness.

Galway Cathedral
The cathedral is situated on the banks of the River Corrib in the city of Galway, at the center of a vibrant community. The cathedral has regular services and is a great place to experience Ireland’s religious routes. Even if you are not religious, the Cathedral will enrich you with Irish culture and heritage. A perfect time to go would be during the Galway International Oyster Festival between 22-25 September 2011.

Belfast
The capital of Northern Ireland is full of art, entertainment, shops and museums. The best time to go is during the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival, which runs from May 2-31, 2011. The festival hosts a variety of international talents bringing comedy, music and street theater to downtown. from Belfast.
