My Bloody Valentine movie review

My BLOOD, BLOOD Valentine Hold on tight. This new DVD rental release deserves a bold, over-the-top headline. I’m telling you, this is really good. I hate having to watch and review horror movies, it’s just not my thing. I like laid back comedy, or some action. This horror movie goes beyond the action. My Bloody Valentine, as I saw it in theaters, actually hits you on the edge of your seat with every beat of the movie.

If it’s not the only horror movie produced in 3D, it’s certainly the BEST. Personally, I had never seen many 3D movies before this one. I guess I haven’t kept up with 3D based movies and technology has passed me by, that, or I just haven’t seen any good 3D movies. In My Bloody Valentine, things really jump off the screen when you’re wearing the glasses. In fact, it looks real and with an added dimension. I could say there was a spike in front of my face smashed through a windshield, or in one scene, the crazed killer chases a girl down a long hallway. She was going vertically down the screen and on either side of her, every few steps, there were these pillars as high as the ceiling. As she went through each alignment of pillars you would think you could see the entire map of the room in 3D, the pillars were running across the screen with you, it looked realistic. I think 3D should be the basis for all future horror movies. Add a third sensation of terror. Paired with high definition 3D surround sound in theaters, 3D is perfect for any horror movie and would increase its chances of hitting the box office winner that week. It adds to the enjoyment of the movie and takes the pain out of getting hurt wearing those slow glasses for two hours. Horror buffs, a good three dimensional movie? Edge-of-your-seat thrill ride, crazy deaths? Even some blood spattered nudity? It all starts in a small town called Harmony. Choose this on the 19th.
