Quick but healthy breakfast recipes

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Missing breakfast will not only increase stress levels, but it will cause stomach acids to burn the stomach and lining of the esophagus and cause, horror of horrors, bad breath.

Breakfast is so called because it literally means breaking the fast that the body was forced to get at least six to eight hours of sleep each night. This means that most, if not all, of the food eaten during lunch or dinner will have been fully digested and there is nothing left for the body to depend on. This will lower blood sugar levels and make the brain feel lightheaded or at least dizzy.

Here are some quick and healthy breakfast ideas that will have you on top of the world in no time.

Not up to cereal? That’s not a problem, as you can still get your milk and dairy proteins through this simple yet delicious recipe. The night before, cut some of the boiled chicken into cubes and set aside. Chop some onion and garlic too. That’s all. The next morning, mix all three ingredients together and sauté in light butter until the onions and garlic are cooked. Add a pinch of salt if you like, but grating cheese over the mixture will make it salty enough. Next, add a tablespoon of flour to the mixture and mix well. Add a pinch of pepper and some Worcestershire sauce, mix again. Lastly, in a tin or packet of all purpose cream or light cream if desired. When the mixture thickens, let it cool. Take some bread and toast them lightly. When you’re done, simply pour the mixture over the bread. This is a hearty, healthy breakfast that’s sure to see you through lunch, but if you eat too much, it’ll last long after lunch.

How about some eggs? Simply beat three or four eggs with a little salt and pepper and grate cheese on top, the amount is up to you. Then grab some of that ham that was left over from the other day, some green pepper, a tomato, onion, and garlic. Cut into pieces and reserve. In a small skillet, heat some vegetable oil or butter, whichever you fancy, and when hot enough where the sides start to simmer, add in the egg mixture. Let cook for about a minute and then carefully place the remaining ingredients in the middle of the eggs to cook. When the sides of the eggs lift easily, carefully flip one side over the ham mixture, then fold over the other side to make an omelet. Very good! Spanish omelette in less than 8 minutes!

There are so many ideas for breakfast that today they are hardly used in homes due to the usual excuse of not having time. Actually, you have plenty of time left to do something because all you need is a little planning and reading that old cookbook your mom and grandma had.
