Real housewives are human too

Many of us will have seen the Real Housewives show series or seen the press and magazine coverage of their antics and lifestyles. The stories of these ‘true housewives’ and WAG can fill us with a mixture of horror, envy and disdain when we see their informed choices and excessive ways, particularly as they are often seen as role models for girls. We can speculate that her most outrageous behavior is done to hold public attention and help reinforce her celebrity status.

But if we dig a little beyond the surface, behind the glamor and glitz, we can see that true housewives have their own worries, worries, and problems. In fact, some are experiencing personal crises, making life-changing decisions, and even using their time on the show to raise their public profile and gain visibility for their own existing businesses.

Often times, ‘Real Housewives’ can seem out of touch with reality and normalcy, living in a continual flood of visits to expensive shops, restaurants, and beauty salons. Maintaining such a prominent lifestyle involves a lot of pressure to keep up appearances and be seen as living the existence of a fairy tale. Being photographed partying, drinking cocktails, perhaps spending your husband or partner’s money on a flurry of whimsical and self-indulgent activity, arguing over trivia, pretending to sulk if they don’t get the proper gifts or don’t get what they want can make them look spoiled. , selfish and childish.

We’ve certainly noticed in magazines and on social media how many of the younger WAGs and Real Housewives seem to look the same, transforming each other with identical hairstyles, dress styles, breast sizes, smooth, wrinkle-free sporty faces. and pursed lips. Often one is indistinguishable from the other in a group photograph. This can be your goal, to give them the peace of mind that they are doing well, following the correct guidelines to be part of this exclusive and elite group, as well as young children who need to use the same brands to feel that they belong.

But these choices can indicate insecurity about having an individual appearance and identity. If they looked or acted differently, what would the consequences be, would they be okay, good enough? They can live in constant fear that their appearance will change, that they will gain a little weight, that they will find gray hair or the slightest wrinkle. How could a person find the time to preserve their personality and identity while keeping a constant eye on every aspect of their image? Being the perfect wife, mother, and woman means never really relaxing or getting out of control, otherwise things can slip and someone else can be there, ready to put themselves in your shoes.

Whenever we choose to judge another person, we inevitably do so from our own perspective, but when we go through difficult times, difficult emotions, and pain, it is a very personal relative experience. If we dismiss or belittle another person’s problems, efforts, or situation because of their apparent good luck, attractive appearance, wealth, status, or perceived windfall, we are doing them and ourselves a disservice. Few of us are so confident and confident in ourselves and our self-confidence, or are so emotionally resilient that we are not affected by the difficulties that life sometimes presents us. Deep down, most of us need love, kindness, and acceptance; we long for the assurance that we are okay.

As a real homemaker, there is continual pressure to show off the role and never grow old. Maintaining this must get burdensome, tedious, and exhausting at times. Every aspect of your life, your wardrobe, personal fitness sessions, and treatments can fill each day, making it almost a full-time job. Often everyone else has an opinion, they want to give their advice, be part of the team, so they introduce a Stepford wife magazine / character, living the dream.

Every now and then you see a true homemaker walk away from the lure of fame and leave the spotlight behind, or decide to use it to her advantage and develop a charity or business initiative, create a product, write a book, use her position. as a force for good. Then you will see your transition and become more than just your public persona. By leaving your character from the show behind, you can regain your name, establish your identity, and be recognized for your talents and attributes in your own right – you are no longer part of the brand!
