Summer is the time we all love to pack up and go on long picnic trips. We can go with our friends, family or even alone, but we can’t fight the urge to travel by car when the mercury rises. o Tires – You hear a lot about the importance of maintaining tires properly. Poor quality tires can reduce the car’s performance. o Cooling System – Your car can quickly turn into a furnace if the cooling system is malfunctioning. You have to make sure that both the engine and the occupants of the car are protected from the heat. This involves checking for loose connections, proper circulation of coolant and lubricating oil in the engine and air conditioning. This will ensure that your air conditioner does not break down in the middle of the trip.

o Fluid Levels – Make sure all fluid levels in the car have been checked and found to be adequate. This includes checking the engine oil, radiator and transmission fluid, and brake fluid.
