With her sentient power to face all her tormentors, she is destined to defeat them and find the nirvana she so deserves. To generate impact, issues such as environmental degradation, pollution, genocide, etc. caused by greed and ignorance are springboards to learn the value system of the characters in the novel.
I’ve been writing articles for over a decade, and writing articles is different from writing a short story, novella, or novel.
Indeed, the number of hours to turn and pages to bleed through, and the sheer amount of energy required to write one could leave one feeling exhausted; and, of course, many times, the desire to continue dissipates along the way. Yes, unless the motivation is real enough to make one and post it, no matter the circumstances.
Mine was like a roller coaster, there were moments when I am very motivated; other times, I am unmotivated to continue my writing. Yes, when you’re not in the mood to put ideas into your lappie, you’ll never be productive. It’s better to find other things to do like gardening, say grow a corner of grapes, go for a walk, catch up with friends on what’s new, the best or whatever, in your circle of influence, etc. Then look at the blank page again; now more purposefully spilling ideas about fictional characters, events, places, or the like on the page.
The acquisition editors of two publishing websites were contacted, but unfortunately, they had signed up for Kindle, which means the manuscript is already locked on their system for three months. To unenroll from the KDP Select program, I had to inform them about it, then if the reason is valid enough, that is the time when my manuscript will be allowed to be uploaded to other publishing websites.
Lessons here: If you want your book distributed to other publisher websites, never sign up for KDP Select. Just upload it to amazon.com without the exclusivity thing attached.
