The US must protect UAV bases with a vengeance to protect our war efforts

Everyone knows that insurgents, terrorists, pirates, and other bad guys around the world don’t like the idea of aerial drones spying on them. They realize their days are numbered, and some of these aerial drones are armed with Hellfire missiles, which basically means; they can be removed at any time. The good guys probably think it’s wonderful to have this amazing tool of the trade for keeping peace in the world.

In many ways it’s similar to terrorizing terrorists, which I guess serves them well. There is only one problem with that; it also makes our drone bases and those places that are often thousands of miles away the targets of these drones. This is why the United States should probably consider increased security at these facilities. If you remember, Pakistan got very upset after a border incident involving NATO troops and attack helicopters. They demanded that the United States withdraw its drones from an airport military base in their country. Okay, so let’s talk about this for a second, okay?

There is a very good book that I would like to recommend to you, which I would like to quote in my article here today, that book is entitled; “The Air Command” by Giulio Douhet. In fact, I think you can buy a copy on Amazon, and it’s available from University of Alabama Press, (2009), ISBN: 978-0-8173-5608-8. This book is based on and reprinted from the 1929 work by Giulio Douhet.

Now, at the bottom of page 18, the author states that since aerial assets are difficult to combat or shoot down, which is also true today, he suggests getting ahead of those ground assets before they attack. He compares it to attacking the eggs in a bird’s nest, instead of waiting for the bird to take off and attack you. Perhaps early humans had considered this while trying to flee from pterodactyls.

In fact, I’ve seen a science fiction theme to this effect, and some movies that had giant pterodactyls actually attacking humans; appears to be a common genus. Now, in this sense I have a question to ask;

A.) Since this is an obvious statement based on common sense, shouldn’t the US be ready for strikes on their US drone bases outside of Las Vegas NV, Alamogordo NM, Pakistan? , Ethiopia and the base in the regional base of Madagascar? island etc? Shouldn’t we defend these bases more strongly? Shouldn’t we expect attacks?

In fact, I’d like to preempt my reader today and go ahead and answer the question myself. My answer is unfortunately; absolutely. So we better check six early and often, because the bad guys want to attack our drone bases, I bet they’re plotting as we speak. In fact, I hope you will please consider all of this and think about it.
