Why is obesity growing disproportionately?

According to some statistics, nearly a third of people in the Western world are obese or overweight, and the rate is rising. This trend seems to be continuing where people only snack to become obese, and it looks like it’s not going to slow down any time soon. We ask ourselves the question: Where does obesity come from? What is the cause of this, why is it almost an epidemic? There are various reasons for obesity, although food is the main cause.

There is no denying that society itself has developed a weight problem and some of the consequences are beginning to manifest in the form of many diseases. Chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease and anything that comes along is an open invitation for obesity. I’m not suggesting that everything was rosy in the 1960s, but live styles were different. In our own work-related environment, there is always some kind of system that we are using or are guided by; our body also works in a system. Our body has an energy system that must at least be the same; that means your energy is equal to your energy. The energy that goes into your body is the calories you get from food and drinks. Energy that leaves your body, being used for physical activity. To maintain a healthy weight, your energy input and output must balance on average. This doesn’t mean you have to balance every day exactly, but you have to do it on average. If more energy comes in every day, the energy going out means weight gain. More energy out than energy over time means weight loss.

The body has its system but it is up to us how to take advantage of it. Losing weight simply comes down to burning more calories than you take in. In other words, eat less and exercise more. When it comes to snacking, this can play a big role in your weight loss success or failure.

Every home has one: TV is a good example of making people fat, just constantly reaching for those snacks that are less healthy, and the more they watch TV, the fatter they get. It also starts at a young age with marketing strategies targeting children who are influenced and exploited through packaging and advertising.

Snacks may serve a purpose for some. The purpose of snacking is to take the edge off hunger between meals. As long as it is within reason and without exceeding your caloric needs for the day. A proper snack means consuming a small amount of nutrient-dense foods to give your body energy to help you through the next hour or two before your next meal. Snacks can have a benefit; unfortunately, most do it incorrectly or for the wrong reason. Snacks can start with boredom, stress, anger, depression, frustration, etc. By snacking without the proper intention, it is more common to make poor choices and use the wrong food.

Get it right and snack once or twice throughout the day, between your main meals and only when you’re hungry. You should choose foods rich in protein and/or fiber, as they tend to give you more satiety, and also be mindful of the amount. You may have noticed that plates and bowls have increased in size and portion sizes have gotten larger over the years. Following bad advice about food for decades does not help with the weight situation. The foods eaten in the 1970s were natural, including natural fats that had nutritional value, and obesity was not a problem.

Obesity is a concern because it is the trigger point for many health conditions. The real cause when it comes to weight gain that can lead to diabetes and heart disease is sugar, processed carbohydrates, and processed foods in general. In the 1970s, health experts told us that stress and high blood pressure were the cause of salt; in some cases this is still believed today. High-salt diets have little or no effect on blood pressure or heart disease. Salt isn’t the danger, sugars and fructose are, even if you “don’t” use processed table salt. Fructose is the sugar found in everything from corn syrup, fruit drinks and juices, and most processed foods.

Obesity ages the liver. What that means is that if you are obese, your liver will age faster than the rest of your body. If being overweight or obese is a problem, you may want to focus on switching to a more liver-producing food. Switch to fermented foods, lots of herbs, cinnamon, turmeric, fennel, cayenne, pepper, coriander, ginger, cumin, etc.

This is where most people are having a problem. Uncontrollable food cravings are hard to overcome. The digestive organs and stomach have already grown in size due to the above normal food intake which sends a message to the brain to get more food. Right now that urge to eat is more powerful than your willpower to say no.
