7 steps great leaders take to make changes for the better

During election campaigns, many candidates claim, they are going to make changes, but what good are these, unless they are truly for the better? In, my, more than four decades of involvement, in nearly every area, related to leadership, from identifying and qualifying, to training, developing, and finally consulting, thousands of actual and/or potential leaders , as well as serving, on multiple occasions, personally, as one, I have emphasized and emphasized how important it is to think through the issues, thoroughly and ensure, change is for the better and will make a quality, difference, to an organization. specific. With that in mind, this article will briefly attempt to consider, examine, review, and discuss the 7 steps that great leaders often take to make important, relevant, and sustainable changes for the better.

1. See obstacles as challenges, rather than problems: When a leader faces an obstacle, will he proceed, with the mindset, to face a problem, or will he perceive these, as challenges, to be overcome? Only when they are perceived as a challenge will the process begin, to the right – football!

two. Examine/discuss stakeholder priorities, etc.: Successful leadership comes from a leader who focuses on priorities, perceptions, concerns, needs, reasons, goals, etc. of stakeholders, rather than simply your perspective! To achieve the best goals, thorough and open-minded consideration and review is necessary!

3. Explain the options in detail: In almost all cases/situations, there is more than one potential approach and/or option that needs to be considered. Great leaders study, review, consider relevant and sustainable possibilities and potential ramifications, and thoroughly articulate options and rationales, recommend specific ones. He must answer his questions, address his concerns, and do so to the satisfaction of those he serves and represents!

Four. Articulate your reasons/reasoning: How one articulates one’s reasons and/or reasoning often determines one’s potential support from voters! This process should clarify all relevant factors, both for the leader himself and for the stakeholders!

5. Call to action/participation: Often the biggest hurdle is stakeholder apathy. The reality is that, in most organizations, only a very small percentage of constituents are immersed, in getting involved, to a greater degree. Therefore, if one wants to make the necessary changes, he must effectively articulate a call to action, to get much more participation, etc.!

6. Move forward, with plan and contingency planning: Things happen, so if a leader hopes to be effective, they must present a well-considered and relevant strategy and action plan, as well as prepare effectively using meaningful contingency planning.

7. Evaluate progress/know when to adjust: Open-minded leaders are willing to constantly assess their progress and know when to modify their plan, approach, etc., to make it better, stronger, and more effective.

If you want to be a quality leader, you’ll need to carefully consider these 7 steps to making changes—for the better! Are you up to the tasks?
