It is one of the universal principles of wealth creation that the more you give, the more you receive. You’ve probably heard this principle repeated many times and in many different ways. You may know this as the principle (or law) of Karma; perhaps you know him by some other name. But I’m sure you’ve heard.
But, at least as far as my own experience is concerned, in almost every articulation of that principle that I have heard, something fundamental is missing from the proposition. It is true, I believe that giving activates receiving. But actually, deep down, we all know there must be more to it than that, otherwise everyone would be rich.
On my main site, we have been giving for many years while building it to become an authority within the personal development space. We built our library of free books, and as we expanded, Google rewarded us by sending us visitors. Some of those people come back to Google through advertising on the site, and Google pays us for that traffic.
So in the example above, we can see how wealth can be created online. It is a matter of first creating the necessary circuitry through which wealth can flow. Once that circuit is created, then it is true that the more you give, the more you will receive, and therein lies the problem for many people. Most people fail (about 95% of those who try) at earning an income online because they never manage to create the loop through which that wealth can flow.
Once you solve the problem of how to relate giving to receiving, there really is nothing but your own ability to give that can keep you from getting rich. When you have the cause and effect relationship between giving and receiving, there really can’t be anything stopping you, that’s what it means to complete the circuit.
As we all know, it truly is ‘more blessed to give than to receive’, but in order to give, we must somehow ensure that we adequately take care of our own material needs. The provider needs to be sustained because without a giver, there is no gift to give. When you can actually give a gift that truly benefits the recipient and at the same time activates the law of giving and receiving, then you can experience the joy of giving in a way few people have historically been able to achieve. But the Internet is changing all that.
Today, it is possible for many people to complete the loop and engage in symbiotic relationships that can deliver value and create wealth at the same time; that’s what makes doing what I do so much fun. And learning how to use the Internet to create these relationships has been a passion of mine for the past eight years.
Achieving success in building wealth online requires a new way of thinking for a new era. It’s a mindset that is alien to many who are trying to make money online because it’s all about giving; it is not, as many people think, trying to sell things. It’s about first creating the circuit through which wealth can flow to you and then concentrating on one thing: giving.
