Audi A6 review

When it comes to German automotive luxury, you can’t do better than an Audi. Its A6 model is the big brother of the A4 and it manages to take all the good things about its little brother to an even higher level. Sleek and stylish business motorsport is the decision of the day with the A6, with the sporty lineup of 3 variations. As is common with Audi, each variation perfectly occupies the place in its intended market. The typical A6 will appeal to businessmen and those who want the look and convenience of a saloon, while the Avant and Allroad Quattro will appeal to those who want that same style but with the space of an estate or that off-road feel.

The focus model today is the new A6 saloon, which recently received a facelift in 2012 and will be launched in April this year. Aesthetically, it has undergone a big change, with a completely new front end that closely resembles that of its supercar, the Audi R8. Having officially taken ideas from the A8 model, the headlights are now angled and curved around the edge of the body to give it that aggressive, aggressive look, and the grille has been redesigned to be sharper and more edgy. The bodywork has also undergone considerable changes compared to last year’s model; with a much more elegant design. The result of the redesign is a car that carries with it an entrepreneurial class, while retaining a sporty and mean-spirited look. It works surprisingly well and the A6 manages to stay classy despite its edge.

Available in two trims: the SE and the S Line, the new A6 will have 4 engine sizes when shipped, ranging from 2.0l to 3.0l and a choice of diesel or gasoline. The least expensive option is of course the SE, but don’t for a second think that that compromises quality. The interior is typical of the Audi class with a blend of fine woods and Milano leather intended to give that premium business feel. An excellent Bang and Olufsen audio system accompanies the interior comforts, with a total of 15 speakers and many of the technologies used drawn from its renowned range of BeoLab 5 home speakers. An incredibly powerful 1200-watt amplifier drives the system, while the CD player incorporates SD card slots to allow playback of MP3 files and portable storage. Moving on to the exterior of the car, we get standard alloy wheels with both models and a handy electromagnetic parking assist sensor, so keeping your priceless Au di A6 away from those dreaded curbs has never been easier.

The confirmed prices for the new A6 are excellent value for money; for the 2.0l model of the standard A6 you’ll only have to pay £ 34,355, which keeps it firmly in line with that of its competitor, the BMW 5-series. Don’t underestimate the engine size either, as the 2.0l still has enough grunt at 177bhp to get you where you want with time to spare. Not to mention the cheerfully low emissions output of just 129g / km which should make saving for your next luxury purchase that much easier. This is definitely shaping up to be a great buy for any entrepreneur who wants a high-performance sports car that doesn’t compromise on quality and luxury. Offering a good number of engines at launch and with a choice of diesel or gasoline, there should be something for everyone. Put this on your list, as it is something to keep in mind without a doubt.
