Bathroom vanity – tops add elegance to your bathroom

Have you ever thought about the importance of a bathroom vanity countertop? These tops are perhaps the most important facet of your vanity, but they always seem to get overlooked. They facilitate a large number of common and daily hygiene tasks. They open up plenty of storage and surface space for your toiletries and hygiene products. Basically, they make your life a little easier and your trips to the bathroom a little more convenient. But they also serve an aesthetic function, enhancing the visual appeal of your bathroom and enhancing its beauty. Corian polymer, marble and wood vanity counters are great ways to enhance both the form and function of your bathroom.

Wood countertops and plastic laminates in a wood design give your bathroom a definite charm and rustic flavor that is sure to impress. Wood has the added benefit of being a very affordable countertop material that won’t hurt your savings. Unfortunately, wood is very susceptible to normal water damage, such as warping and decay. For this reason, if you really want to go for a wooden top, you should have it completely sealed in a laminated sleeve to prevent direct and ambient moisture from entering. These plastic laminates are available in a significantly wide variety of various styles, designs, colors, themes, and gloss and luster. Plastic laminate bathroom vanity tops are usually fitted with a traditional recessed self-rimmed sink; they can sometimes accommodate more luxurious and less common vessel sinks. These particular lids are particularly susceptible to heat damage and abrasions, due to the plastic laminate. Avoid putting hot things on the surface and clean it with non-abrasive or non-abrasive cloths or scrubbers and diluted cleaning solutions. With proper care, a good laminate vanity will last a lifetime.

Marble double bathroom vanity tops tend to cost a good deal more than either wood or plastic laminate, but marble is a much stronger and more durable material than either and marble will give your bathroom a elegant and refined atmosphere that will instantly enhance the existing sophistication of the room itself. Marble, granite, and onyx are materials that are highly resistant to staining when grown. They are strong against the elements, such as water and sun damage, and are tough and hard to take damage. They are also easy to repair and replace, despite their weight. Sanding and polishing (or waxing) the surface of your marble countertop once in a while, say annually, is sure to keep your countertop looking beautiful and like new. Cracking is a very common concern among marble vanity counter owners, but this concern is unfounded if you buy cultured stone or marble; the farmed materials are definitely worth the slightly higher cost.

Corian is an acrylic polymer blended with natural materials that was developed by the DuPont corporation, and is probably the most expensive (but also the highest quality) tabletop material. Also, it is by far the strongest and most durable material. It is non-porous, making it fully waterproof and by extension mold and mildew resistant; it is also incredibly difficult to dye. Corian polymer comes in a variety of elegant finishes, such as a semi-gloss, matte, or glossy surface. Corian countertops are easily cleaned with a normal abrasive cleaner and a normal cleaning pad; no special solutions are necessary. Simply maintaining your Corian polymer countertop by cleaning it regularly and keeping hot objects away from it will ensure that it lasts for years and years of enjoyment.
