They will cover the fundamentals of filler and botox courses, including facial anatomy, the aging process and facial beautification as informed by the Golden Ratio, clinical assessment and proper injection techniques.
Filler and Botox Courses
In addition to the didactic session, this course provides a full day of extensive hands-on training with a client/model. You will be able to perform a client consultation, come up with a treatment plan and execute the procedure under the supervision of an experienced instructor.
After completing this course, you will be ready to work as a cosmetic nurse injector in any medical aesthetics setting such as a spa, doctor’s office, dental clinic or plastic surgeon’s office. This is a great option for nurses who would like to expand their career options or for those who want to continue working in the medical field while also developing their skills and building a portfolio to showcase their skill set.
This one-day advanced training course is a follow-up to Foundation Basic Filler Injection and the Lower Face Cannula Training Program. It will go over similar topics as the Basic Filler Training Course, includes the same pre-course reading material and employs the same trainee to trainer ratio of two trainees to one instructor with seven to eight live models for hands-on training. This course will expand on the techniques taught in the Basic Filler Training Course and introduces you to the use of cannulas (rather than needles) for the application of dermal fillers such as Radiesse, a longer-lasting calcium hydroxyapatite filler that can be used to fill the temples and tear troughs.
In addition to expanding your scope of practice, this course will teach you the business and marketing considerations of incorporating botulinum toxin and dermal facial fillers into your clinic. You will be given the tools to promote your new service, as well as pricing and packaging suggestions. You will also be introduced to the latest advancement in the world of facial aesthetics, platelet-rich plasma therapy which uses a patient’s own blood to accelerate healing and reduce swelling from injection sites. Past attendees have found this course to be very comprehensive and an excellent foundation for adding dermal fillers and neurotoxin injection into your practice.
