God is inviting you to the secret place

“He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and glorify him.

I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation.” (Psalm 91:15-16 KJV).

Introduction

God has invited you to come to the secret place to spend time with Him. The time you spend with Him in prayer or fellowship is worthwhile. Prayer releases transforming power. This lesson is primarily addressed to you as an individual believer. “But you, when you pray, go into your room. And closing the door, pray to your Father in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you in public.” (Matthew 6:6).

In this lesson, we will look at the requirements to enter the secret place with the Lord:

1. Have the right motive

And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites. Because they love to pray standing in synagogues and on street corners, to be seen by men. I swear you that the have already got their reward. .” (Matthew 6:5).

When you come into the presence of the Lord, make sure your motives are good. Jesus said that hypocrites love to pray. But its purpose is to be seen and heard by the people. That is why they used to stand in strategic places. The Lord said that by doing so, they received their reward.

Therefore, you are encouraged to enter your room and close the door. God your Father hears and sees in secret, and then rewards in public. Therefore, make sure that the reason for the sentence is correct. God rewards those who pray with pure motives.

May God grant the desires of your heart as you pray in the secret plan, in Jesus Name!

2. Have a right relationship with God as your Father

“For what father of you, if his son asks for bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a snake for a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he give him a scorpion? If you, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him? (Luke 11:11-13).

You serve a great loving God who is a Father to us. Go to Him as a child goes to a loving parent. The principle here is that a father gives good gifts to his children when they ask for them. God wants you to be happy. So if you ask Him for something, He will grant your request. It is better than earthly parents who also give good gifts to their children.

God, your Father wants to give you good things. Allow him, then, to be a father to you. Humble yourself and draw near to Him as a child draws near to his father. God gives only good gifts. If something bad happens to you, never say that God has given it to you. He only gives good gifts. He is a loving Father. If you had a bad experience with your earthly father, never compare your father to God.

May you experience the deep love of God as your Father in Jesus Christ Name!

3. Trust fully in the Lord

“I myself will cry to God, and Jehovah will save me. Evening, morning and noon I will pray and cry, and he will hear my voice.” (Psalm 55:16-17).

Child of God, develop a true trust in God. The psalmist declares his trust in the Lord. He says that he is going to call God and he knows that God will save him. It is a wonderful experience to know within you that when you call on the Lord, He will hear and save you.

Develop that confidence Son of God. The Lord wants to hear from you. The psalmist says that he will call on the Lord three times a day. How many times do you have fellowship with the Lord? Do you like talking to him? Get in the habit of communing with Him. Spend time with God in the secret place.

I don’t know what’s bothering you today. The psalmist says that he will intrude and cry out loud and he knows that the Lord will hear him. The Master will always hear your cries, son of God.

May all your tears be wiped from your eyes right now, in Jesus’ Name!

4. Dispense false fronts

But he answered and said to them: Hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, as it is written: This people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Yet in vain do they honor me, teaching as doctrines. commandments of men” (Mark 7:6-7).

Here we learn from the Gospel of Mark that God wants you to be faithful to him. That is what He expects when you meet Him in the secret place. Honor God with your heart, not just with your lips. Deal with false claims.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart. He cares deeply about you. He is a God of your heart.

May the Lord grant you the strength to always be faithful before Him, in Jesus Name!

conclusion

God has called you to fellowship in the secret place. He has called you to prayer. After all, that is the reason he created you. For things to work out when you meet the Lord; make sure you have the right motives, have a father-son/daughter relationship, trust God, and dispense with false fronts.

In this way you will have a great experience with God, your Father and Creator of the universe.
