How many rooms does the Venetian Resort Las Vegas have?

Venetian Resort

The Venetian is one of the few hotels on the Strip that still blows away visitors with its large suite-style rooms and themed experiences. When paired with sister property The Palazzo, the massive resort offers more than 7,000 rooms and suites, more than 1.9 million square feet of meeting space, 80 some stores and restaurants from celebrated chefs like Thomas Keller.

It also houses two enormous shopping malls, a nightclub and many of the top-rated shows and events that Las Vegas is famous for. It’s no wonder that the Venetian has been named the best The Venetian Resort Las Vegas by several publications, including Travel & Leisure and Conde Nast. With its gondolas, canals and elaborate sculptures, the hotel is designed to take guests out of the desert and transport them to Italy. The Venetian’s Grand Canal Shoppes and live opera performances are both great examples of this theme.

Rooms at the Venetian are a step up from those of most other hotels in town, because they’re all suites and start at 650 square feet. That makes them twice as large as the average hotel room in Vegas and a whole lot more luxurious, too. Suites include separate living spaces, remote-controlled Roman curtains, and multiple LCD HD TVs. Upgrades are available, with the Piazza Suite going all the way up to 1,400 square feet.

All of the rooms at The Venetian are also eco-friendly, thanks to a recent renovation and Sands Corp.’s effort to implement best practices across all of its departments. That includes incorporating energy-saving materials from carpeting to paints into department standard operating procedures. Housekeeping is also changing the way it handles guest rooms by closing drapes and turning off lights in unoccupied suites after cleaning.

As a result, the property has been certified by Green Globes. Guests can also enjoy a full range of amenities, from an indoor pool to an outdoor spa, three fitness centers and plenty of shopping and dining options.

The property’s location is slightly north of the center of the Strip, but that doesn’t matter too much when there are so many things to do and see on site. The Fashion Show Mall is within walking distance, and so are other top shopping experiences like the Linq “high roller” experience and Caeser’s Palace.

The hotel’s dozens of restaurants cover nearly every culinary style, from French to Japanese to Italian. In fact, there are more than 40 different restaurants on the site, and many of them are ranked highly by diners. There are also a few bars, which is always helpful in a city where the nightlife is just as vibrant as the daytime activities. TAO, the hotel’s hot nightclub, draws a huge crowd, while Bellini Bar serves bellinis and beers around the clock. There’s also a high-end cocktail lounge, the Dorsey.
