How to protect your computer

In today’s world, the computer has become an integral part of our life. We depend on our computers for both official and personal work. When we are in the middle of work, the computer sometimes suddenly stops working and we wonder what to do.

The following practice, if done regularly, can help you protect your computer to some extent.

1. Run disk cleanup, scan disk and defragmenter.

2. Keep your recycle bin empty.

3. Clear your browser cache.

4. Download only the essential programs that are required to run your business and avoid the habit of downloading what you get for free.

5. Update your programs to keep the latest technology and also for a faster loading time.

6. Never open suspicious emails from strangers, especially attachments, however tempting they may be. It will be dangerous for your computer. Sometimes you may even receive email attachments with a subject saying “Thank you for your order and credit card details.” Most of them will send malicious viruses through those attachments.

7. Above all, remember to protect your computer with antivirus software and update it regularly.

8. Back up all your important files and put them on two sets of floppy disks. In case one floppy won’t open, the other would help.

Before calling technical support, it would be advisable to follow the following simple step, which can help you solve your problem.

Carefully check the connection cable and the circuit board of your computer. A gentle push can fix the problem, correcting the loose connection, and a great expense of calling the technician can be eliminated.
