If I could live my life again

I would laugh more looking for the humorous side of everything.

I would have worked harder earlier on my number one asset: my health. I would have eaten a better diet with a lot more vegetables, fruits, and fresh grains. I would have exercised more.

I would take more risks, since I have realized that I regret much more what I have not done in my life than what I have done.

If I had to live my life again, I would cry more, both from happiness and sadness. It takes a lot of strength to reveal your vulnerabilities and I used to think that tears were a sign of weakness.

If I could live my life over again, I would have read more books and attended more seminars from the teachers of your subjects.

I would have given up anger and grudges against those who have hurt me sooner.

I would have been aware before that only I am totally responsible for creating my emotional state, and that every feeling arises from the meaning I give to things. And with this secret I have the ability to be happy living in a small room as well as in a mansion. My life could be full of meaning even if I was confined to a concentration camp or prison.

I would have learned that the greatest secret of being alive is not found in the regrets of the past, nor in the worries about the future, that 95% of the time they never happen. But even living today. The only way I can live fully is to live solely in this moment. This moment is all that I, you, anyone really is.

If I could live my life again, I would be more generous without expectations. Life has taught me that there is no wasted energy in the universe. He who gives more and serves his neighbor better always prospers.

If I could live my life again I would never say if I could live my life again. As long as I’m alive, I’ve come to realize that it’s a mistake to live in “could haves.” It’s never too late to start living for real. Even if I were 87 years old, I plan to take each and every action that I have longed to take.

The moment is now, this instant.
