Midnight in Paris

Midnight in Paris – Is It Good?
Woody Allen has a knack for capturing Paris in the rain. His previous films have focused largely on the city of light. Midnight in Paris has a beautiful setting, with many iconic buildings and iconic works of art. Woody Allen’s arty films have a very French flavor to them.
Gil is a writer who believes that Paris is mystical. For him, the city is the key to unleashing the writer locked inside of him. In other words, he believes that the city will inspire him to write a novel. It is the mystical city that he needs in order to write a good book.
The film is well-acted and based on a true story. The premise is hard to explain. But the trailer hints that Paris is magical after midnight. It’s also about Gil Pender’s relationship with his fiance Inez, played by Rachel McAdams. Gil is an unlikely romantic, but Inez, his fiance, is more interested in spending his time with her rich in-laws than with him. Ultimately, Gil is left alone in Paris and finds himself in a world of his own.
If you’re a fan of movies set in the past, this one is for you. While the story isn’t particularly great, it is a good example of how the era in which the film was set was a very exciting one. The green and orange colors used in this film are very romantic and evoke the past. The costumes, sets, and music all fit the narrative.
