Skincare routine to cleanse, tone and hydrate

The health of your skin does not depend entirely on your skin type; By following the proper skin care routine of cleansing, toning, and moisturizing, your skin will stay healthy regardless of its type. To set up your routine, first gather all the things you’ll need. Apart from the three beauty products i.e. a hydrating facial cleanser, facial toner and moisturizer, you will need a soft washcloth, cotton balls and a clean towel.

To start your skincare routine, first soak the soft washcloth in lukewarm water, then gently rub it on your face for about 45 seconds in small circles. This step, as author Daniel Yarosh of “The New Science of Perfect Skin” points out, will open up the pores in your skin, which in turn will make the cleansing process much easier.

To start the cleansing part, take about a dime-sized drop of your facial cleanser between the pads of your middle and index fingers. Massage this drop slowly on your face for about ½ minute. Then use the soft washcloth and warm water to rinse out the cleaner.

Gently pat your face dry with the clean towel to remove any extra moisture. Remember to never rub your skin at this stage as it will irritate the skin.
For the next step in your skincare routine, you’ll need a cotton ball. Soak the ball in your facial toner and apply all over the face. You need to rub the toner on your face until the cotton ball dries.

Take about a dime-sized drop of your moisturizer onto the pads of your middle and index fingers. Then gently massage into your face. You should massage until you see that all the moisturizer has been absorbed by the skin of your face.

These three skin care routines i.e. cleansing, toning and moisturizing should be done at least twice a day if you want great and healthy skin. The best time is after your morning bath and then before bed. The whole process, as you can see, will take no more than 10-15 minutes! So instead of going to salons and dermatologists or cosmetic surgeons later for skin problems, start doing this from now on for beautiful, healthy skin that shows little signs of its age.
