The things you learn from broadcasting schools

Cleveland is known for its many firsts, along with surrounding cities in Ohio. It was the first region to use police cars, it had the first ambulance service in 1865, it is the home of Neil Armstrong who is the first man to walk on the moon, it had the first car service station, the first hot dog and it was the first state to enact laws protecting women in 1852. Having some of the oldest television and radio stations, it follows that this city of firsts ranks high among Cleveland’s broadcast schools.

The Ohio and Illinois Broadcasting Center is one of many well-known Cleveland broadcasting schools. They provide active courses in radio and television studios that are fully equipped so that students can study in a real-world setting, in addition to traditional classroom education. Some of the courses offered are: microphone technique, writing and acting for the camera, sports broadcasting, news writing, news broadcasting and public speaking techniques. Many of those who are well known and respected personalities on radio and television attended the Ohio and Illinois Broadcasting Center.

The Cleveland Institute of Electronics is another one of the excellent broadcasting schools in Cleveland. With courses such as: Media Writing, Public and Professional Speaking, Broadcast and New Media Writing, Audio Production for Radio, and Acting for the Screen, CIE has a complete program for the most serious broadcasting student. They also offer a broadcast engineering program designed for those who want to become technicians and have a career in radio and television.

Another one of the Cleveland broadcast schools is BMG – Broadcasters Mentoring Group. At this broadcasting school, they provide on-the-job training for those who want to be newscasters, talk show hosts, or sports commentators. The classroom is the closest radio and/or television station. Due to the wide possibilities within the program, the mentor-mentee emphasizes the practical aspect of learning. If you are a student who wants to delve into the technical and active aspects of this specialization, then this could be the school for you.

And lastly, we also have Cuyahoga Community College on their metro campus, and they expand classroom instruction along with hands-on education, all in their newly constructed 75,000-square-foot creative arts building. With this fully equipped radio and television studio on site, there is always something to discover or something to participate in. Each and every student will receive personalized attention so that they can learn all aspects of their chosen careers, whether or not they are taught speaking and camera techniques, news writing, or any other course available to this exciting industry. .
