Tips to make your baseball cap look valuable

A baseball cap looks best when it’s tattered, worn, and folded, not like most things. It is shown that wearing a cap is often considered to be the symbol of the true baseball fan. When you buy a new cap, it looks new, unworn and not great, and this becomes a problem. Here are some suggestions to help you achieve a worn look that you are sure to love:

Choose a cap that is one size too large for your head. How? Not because you want your head to look bigger than it is, or because you want it to fall over every time you see a baseball on the ground. The reason is that you are going to do something to it that will shrink it a bit. You need to buy a hat that is a little big, so that after softening it you can wear it.

Heat a container of water to a temperature that will not damage the hat, and then place the cap in the water. This will make the fabric softer and easier to mold to the desired shape.

Another worthwhile option is to wash it in the dishwasher or washing machine. Avoid running the cap through too many wash cycles because it may fall apart. Let it dry a bit and then your head is where it should be placed. It’s okay if they splash on your face; go ahead, put it on Wearing your cap when you shower will also work. In summer when it is hot and you sweat a lot, you should wear it all the time. Shaping it will be easier as moisture seeps into the fabric. Getting your head wet is something you don’t like? Then, inside the hat you should place an object that is approximately the size and shape of your head.

The nice thing about this hat is that it will shrink when it dries and take the shape of the thing that’s wearing it. Instead of getting your hat wet, you can try “roughening” it slightly. It’s so durable you can tie it up in a bundle, throw it against the wall, use it as a pet toy, or anything else wild you can think of. Be careful not to destroy your hat or you’ll have to buy another one. Fray the edges. If you don’t want to make the hat dirty, just cut it off at the fringes. Make a cap look old by cutting it open, pulling the mesh, and sewing up the hole. However, if you are not careful with this, you may end up destroying it completely.

Fold it out of shape. Make the edges touch each other by pulling the ends manually, try one of the edge curves available online.

A new baseball cap is not as good as an old one. Fortunately, taking a new baseball cap and making an old one takes very little time.
