Dolce Far Niente: 4 great ways for you to take it easy and not force things

Dolce Far Niente means “pleasant inactivity”. Does it bring you images and sensations, the sweetness of doing nothing and being within your rights to do so? It certainly does me!

What can bring you Dolce Far Niente Lifestyle? To have more fun and continue doing what you love without breaking a sweat. You too can take some time away from your busy life and savor it a lot with these 4 easy ways:

1. Savor the pleasures of life

Discover, or rediscover, what fun is in life. Do activities that involve all the senses and develop them even more. Also, try new things, you might like them!

Savoring life to the full also means fully responding to your basic needs, because longing for something will not leave you alone. It responds to all your needs, such as love, security, and self-esteem. Get rid of superfluous necessities so you have more time and energy to take it easy.

2. Slow down

Discover ways to have more free time each day. Can you take work home, where you can save time in traffic and constant interruption from co-workers? Other ways to slow down your routine are procrastinating sometimes, reporting over the next few weeks what you would be in a rush to do right now, having fewer activities in your schedule, taking time to be with the people you care about every day, and/or take time for a long bath.

3. Don’t worry

By worrying and worrying about everything, you are wasting time and energy on things that most of the time you can’t control or don’t really matter. If you worry, you keep your body tense, you can’t relax, and you make it a bigger problem. Sometimes things can fix themselves. Also, if you take your time, you can find another way or become more detached to solve it.

4. Go with the flow

Imagine your life as a river. Are you hitting every rock, slowing your progress, or do you easily find a way around it to get to where you need to be? When you’re stuck, find out if it’s a challenge or a block that shows you another way.

You may be headed in the right direction, what you want to do may be the next step, but you’re not ready yet. For example, for my career, I was trying so hard to figure out what to do with my life that being an author almost jumped out at me: I was before I knew I was. I was really good at school, wrote all my life and enjoyed reading, as well as loving sociological readings and writing as a journalist. It all worked out one day, but I could have gotten there sooner if I’d just taken it easy.

So if you are stuck, just relax, meditate and keep looking for what really interests you, you will have clues sooner than you think and you will enjoy life more!
