Once the cake batter is blended, you are ready to frost it and spread it out on a lined baking sheet. If it is already baked, you can trim off the excess cake coating. If it is fresh from the oven or you have let it bake very long, you can use a cake leveler to make sure that the entire cake is covered. This cake can also be cooled by putting it in the refrigerator for about one hour before it is finished so that you can frost it and put it in the serving dishes.
