The Christian faith is anchored in the shed blood of Jesus, and understanding its power and benefits will help you apply your faith in it.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives unto death. (Revelation 12:11 NIV)

Then Jesus said to them: Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life. For my flesh is truly food, and my blood is truly drink… As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on me will live because of me. 57 NKJV)

In the Old Testament, almost all things were purified with animal blood, and there was no remission without the shedding of blood (Hebrews 9:22). The blood was used for the cleansing, sanctification and consecration of things and people. The blood was very important to their continued existence and because the blood of animals had no ability to take away sin, the blood of animals was repeatedly shed (Hebrews 10:1-4)

However, when Jesus came, He shed His blood once and for all. For by one offering he perfected forever those being sanctified, and in so doing fulfilled the will of God-Hebrews 10:5-7, 14. The consciousness of sin is now totally removed from those who are cleansed by the blood of the.

The power in the blood of Jesus Christ

There is power in the blood of Jesus, otherwise God would not have allowed the blood of His Son to be shed. In addition to having their sins washed away by the blood of Christ and their conscience cleansed from dead works by the blood (Hebrews 9:14), they also have much to take advantage of the power of the shed blood of Christ, that if the rulers of this he knew they would not have crucified him.

You defeat the devil by the blood of the Lamb, Jesus Christ (Revelation 12:11). That is why the Bible says that if the rulers (the enemy and his agents) knew what is coming to them through the death of Christ, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. Jesus died as a man (flesh and blood) to destroy by his death the one who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and free those who through fear of death were subject to servitude all their lives (Hebrews 2 : 14-15)

Many people are suffering from fear of death, which is the enemy’s weapon against them, but when they are freed from it through Christ, they will take the right steps and turn away from challenges. The power in the blood of Jesus Christ weakens the enemy and he has no choice but to strip himself of your goods and blessings.

When Jesus died as a man, he qualified to go and take from the devil the authority and power that he took from Adam. He went to Hell and took the keys of Hell and Death from the enemy and freed the saints who were in the bondage of death (Matthew 27: 52-53, Revelation 1: 17-18). All who receive it are freed from slavery.

3. Eternal life

This is the supreme desire of a Christian believer (John 3:16). When you receive the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross, you also receive eternal life with God. There is life after death and the blood of Jesus gives you access to life with God and escape from life with the devil. But this is not the eternal life that God is talking about.

John 17:3 tells us that eternal life is knowing God, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom God sent. It is having a close, intimate, personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ whom He feels.

Eternal life is not what you wait until you get to heaven to get it, it is what you begin to have once you believe in Jesus (John 3:36), and God wants you to have a personal relationship with Him.

Adam had eternal life but lost it when he disobeyed God. God told them not to eat or touch the fruit of the tree that was in the middle of the garden, lest they die (Genesis 3:2-3). And when they did, they did not die a physical death but a spiritual one. They lost the intimate relationship they had with God before the fall. And, this was what God restored through the blood of Jesus, that everyone who believes in Jesus will not perish, but have eternal life. There is power in the blood of Jesus

How do you apply the power in the blood of Jesus Christ to your life?

The blood of Jesus is very important if you are to live a victorious Christian life. Christ’s victory over the devil is anchored in the shed blood of the Lamb. It is the seal of the new covenant. And a continuous and conscious remembrance of it will continually give you victory over the devil.

Two main ways to do this are:

1. Invoke the power in the blood leading the blood of Jesus

When you open your mouth and plead for blood in faith, you remind God of the sacrifice made on the cross by His Son. He reminds God that Christ paid the price for his redemption from the oppression of the evil one. It is so powerful that distance is no barrier to its manifestation.

The blood of Jesus speaks better than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24) and like the blood of the animals that spoke Passover to the destroyer in Egypt (Exodus 12:23), the blood of Christ speaks Passover to all evil thrown against you. .

Also, by the blood, you gain access to the word of God – 2 Corinthians 3:13-18. When you plead for the blood of Jesus with faith to understand the word of God, your eyes of understanding will be enlightened allowing you to understand the word of God.

2. Break bread (Holy Communion)

This is another powerful way to administer the power in the blood of Jesus. Christ came to give us life in abundance (John 10:10) and since the life of the flesh is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11), one way that Jesus gives us this life in abundance is through Holy Communion ( Bread and fruit drink)

Jesus said in John 6:53-57, that unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. and that he who eats his flesh and drinks his blood has eternal life; that his flesh is truly food, and his blood is truly drink. Also, that whoever eats his flesh and drinks his blood, remains in Him and He in him. Furthermore, just as the living Father feels and lived for the Father, so everyone who feeds on him will live for him.

There is power in the blood of Jesus. Holy Communion is a reminder of the death and resurrection of Jesus, and of his victory over the devil. Jesus said that we must receive Communion as many times as we wish in memory of Him. Because every time you do it, you announce the Lord’s death until He comes. (I Corinthians 11:24-26 NIV).

Holy Communion offers you life, and that includes healing and total health; intimate and personal relationship with God (eternal life); perpetual communion with God and divine presence. Through a constant intake of it, you can face tomorrow because Christ lives, your eyes are opened to know him more (Luke 24:30) and you will live thanks to Him. It is the best food you can offer yourself, it gives you everything you need. you need to be healthy spiritually, physically, and emotionally. It can be taken as many times as you want, but with faith. It has no side effects and is the best medicine your body needs.

In conclusion, your understanding of the power in the blood of Jesus and its constant use will place you above the challenges and oppressions of the enemy. And just as the Egyptians had no answer to the last plague, which was the death of their firstborn, but the Israelites did because of the blood on their doorposts, so too the devil has no answer when you present the blood of Jesus, which gives you victory.
